The comedy legend said the whole thing was 'nerve wracking' because she
wasn't sure how she would be received by an audience
or what they would 'expect' from her.
Much to her surprise and delight, when she joined Andrew Dice Clay on stage for a surprise five minute set,
Roseanne said she was embraced by the audience.

Back on stage: Roseanne is hitting the road with Andrew Dice Clay for
the Mr. and Mrs. America Tour which kicks off September 19 at the Paramount Theater in Long Island, New York, followed
by a show at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City, New Jersey on the 20th.

'I love stand-up comedy and it's just a blast to be able to go do it and have backup in the form of another
great comic,' the 66-year-old quipped with a smile.
For a time, the actress wasn't sure when she would be ready to get back in front of a crowd following her 2018 tweet.
Roseanne was promptly fired by ABC after it and was effectively
blacklisted by much of Hollywood.
At the time, Barr said she wasn't aware that Jarrett was black and revealed that she wrote the now-deleted post when she was in an Buy Ambien USA fog.

Apprehensive: Roseanne was 'really nervous' to get back on stage in the wake of her controversial 2018 tweet about Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett

‘I was really nervous ... you know, really nervous,' Roseanne told Jesse Palmer.
'Dice talked me into it. He goes, people are wanting to hear

Roseanne has eschewed the prescription sleep aid since the incident: 'I've been [Ambien Buy Cod] sober
for a year and a half since I got fired. I haven't used Ambien and my
life is really, really so much better and I really would like people to understand that.'
'That's a very powerful drug that does a lot of negative harm
to people who use it. I haven't used it since my Ambien tweet
and you've got to be real careful.'
She added: 'It makes you do whack stuff.'
While Barr's tweet proved cataclysmic for her sitcom's revival, she told DailyMailTV that
it was actually her co-star Sara Gilbert's response tweet calling her comment
'abhorrent' that ultimately got Roseanne canned by the network.

Backlash: The actress wasn't sure when she would be ready
to get back in front of a crowd following her 2018 tweet which resulted in ABC firing her and she was effectively blacklisted by much of Hollywood

'That's the tweet that got the show canceled to be honest,' Roseanne said.

The actress isn't in touch with any of her former co-stars and has no desire to confront
Gilbert or try to smooth things over.
'When somebody just doesn't care how their actions affect you, what's there to
talk about?' Roseanne said of her relationship with her former on-screen daughter.
'There's nothing to talk about.'
The Conner family has manged to survive after the departure of Roseanne with a spin-off
show which is heading into its second season.

Career killer: While Roseanne's tweet at Jarrett prompted the backlash, she told DailyMailTV that it was her co-star Sara Gilbert's tweet admonishing her for the 'abhorrent' remark
that she feels got her Roseanne revival canceled

Barr doesn't watch the spin-off - she only watches the reruns of the original series
- and actually called out ABC for using her tweet and subsequent firing 'as
an excuse to steal [her] life's work.'
'When it happened it was like I thought I was gonna lose my life,' she recalled.
'It was devastating and horrible and is unprecedented too that they
would do that to me.'
She feels like there is more to her departure from ABC than just
the shocking social media post and wonders if there was some sort of
conspiracy at play.
'It was a perfect storm,' she told Palmer. 'That's what I think, just the perfect storm at the perfect time.
Kind of a little bit too perfect. Sometimes I think "was this orchestrated? The whole thing?"'

Roseanne said adding that she no longer speaks to Gilbert

Barr reckons that her continued support of
President Donald Trump played into ABC's decision to boot her.

'All of Hollywood, they just hate him and they hate those of
us who like him. There is no way around it.
'So, yeah, I think they took me off because I liked him
and I like him because I'm a Jew and he likes Israel,
' Barr said matter-of-factly.
Trump seems to return Roseanne's affection and recently tweeted about her in the midst of his feud with Debra Messing.

'Bad "actress" Debra The Mess Messing is in hot water.
She wants to create a "Blacklist" of Trump supporters, & is being accused of McCarthyism.
Is also being accused of being a Racist because of the terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness,' the President tweeted on September 5.

He continued: 'If Roseanne Barr said what she did,
even being on a much higher rated show, she would have been thrown off television.
Will Fake News NBC allow a McCarthy style Racist to continue?
ABC fired Roseanne. Watch the double standard!'
Barr wasn't aware of the feud but let out a genuine chuckle
when Palmer read her the transcript of the tweets during their interview.

War of words: There is no love lost between the Will & Grace star

Roseanne will be jumping into political spectrum in her stand-up routine alongside Andrew
Dice Clay, and is ready to call out those in power who she says have 'so insulated themselves
with all their sanctimonious B.S.'
She said she's delighting in taking to task people who can't seem
take a joke at their own expense because then 'it makes it
funnier.'

Make them laugh: The sitcom star is ready to call out those in power in her new comedy tour
who she says have 'so insulated themselves with all their sanctimonious B.S.' and the more they resist, the
funnier the jokes

That same criticism has ironically followed Trump throughout his tenure
in the Oval, though not from Roseanne.
'It's fun to go pop pop pop pop pop,' she joked while throwing mock jabs in the air.
'We have to do that if we want you know not be enslaved to them as a society today.'
